For a long time, I have wanted to have a place for kids in NV and surrounding communities to ride/skate. My son Adam and his friends ride BMX, and it has been a challenge for them to have a place to enjoy their sport. The Village of Newark Valley has stepped up to the plate with this park, and naming the park in memory of my friends Rachel and Bob's son Nick, who died serving his country, makes this project that much more important to me and dear to my heart.
